Belize - Digital Nomad Visa
Belize offers a digital nomad visa through its “Work Where You Vacation” program, which allows remote workers to live and work in the country for an extended period. The program is designed to attract professionals and their families who can contribute to the local economy while working for a company or clients outside of Belize.

Initial Validity: Up to six months (180 days).
Extension: The visa can be extended.
Eligibility Requirements
Proof of Remote Employment: You must demonstrate proof of employment outside of Belize. This can be a job letter if you’re an employee, or business registration and tax returns if you’re self-employed.
Minimum Annual Income:
Individual: A minimum annual income of $75,000 USD.
Couples/Families: A minimum annual income of $100,000 USD.
Financial Documents: A notarized banking reference and a statement of account are required to prove your financial stability.
Criminal Record: You must provide a clear criminal record certificate that is no more than six months old.
Passport: A valid passport is required.
Travel Insurance: You must have travel insurance with a minimum health coverage of $50,000 USD.
Application Process
The application process for the Work Where You Vacation program is relatively straightforward.
Gather Documents: Collect all the required documents, including proof of income, a notarized bank statement, a clear criminal record, a valid passport copy, and proof of travel insurance.
Submit Application: Send your application and all documents via email to the Department of Immigration at visas@immigration.gov.bz or secretary@immigration.gov.bz. Some sources also suggest you can apply at a Belizean embassy or consulate.
Await Approval: After submitting your application, you will need to wait for approval. While there is no official timeframe, processing can take a few weeks.
Arrive in Belize and Pay Fee: Once approved, you will travel to Belize. The visa fee is paid upon arrival at the airport.
Fees and Costs
The visa fee for the “Work Where You Vacation” program is:
Adults: $500 BZD (Belize Dollars) per person, which is equivalent to $250 USD.
Children: $200 BZD per child under 18.

International travelers must book accommodation at a hotel approved by the Belize Tourism Board (BTB).
